Journal Content
Rehabilitation Education is a quarterly journal designed to bridge the gap between researchers, educators, and service providers. It features original contributions dealing with all aspects of rehabilitation education. Published topical areas typically include:
- Curriculum development and proposals to improve learning
- Identification of professional competencies
- Instructional materials and educational media related to disability and rehabilitation training.
- Issues related to licensure, certification, and accreditation.
- Description and effectiveness of continuing education and distance learning interventions
- Evaluation of training interventions to develop/enhance professional competence
- Analysis of pedagogical and clinical supervision training
- Examination of exiting professional competencies of rehabilitation personnel
- Recruitment, retention, and employment outcomes for undergraduate and graduate rehabilitation students
The above areas are illustrative only and should not be construed as those reflecting exclusive content of articles published in RE. In general, manuscripts that are conceptual and/or empirical (including both qualitative and quantitative research) with direct relevance to rehabilitation education training and professional preparation constitute the main thrust for the journal. Examples of recent article titles can be found at Volume 21 Issue #1 and Volume 21 Issue #2
